3rd Cleanroom for RAFARM, Greece by MRC
Established in 1974 with a mission to supply high quality medicines at affordable prices, RAFARM has been making its mark on the pharma world ever since. With the first project in the early 2000's MRC's has now built 3 cleanrooms for their manufacturing facility in Greece.
" After many years of cooperation, this is the 3rd cleanroom MRC has commissioned for Rafarm and I’m proud to have been a part of this journey " says Matthew Stevenson , Project Manager for Rafarm. The recently completed 3rd facility is a sterile vial filling cleanroom.
MRC's scope for this project included Design, supply and Installation of MRC's GRP cleanroom and associated accessories as well as the design, supply , installation and validation of the HVAC system.
All 3 of Rafarm’s MRC cleanrooms boast the renowned MRC GRP paneling system, the facilities also include many of MRC's key accessories such as step over benches, transfer hatch’s (Pass Box), cupboards, door interlock systems, windows, machine access panels and a large ceiling mounted LAF for an ISO 5 area with unidirectional air flow. The project has 42 MRC GRP swing doors also.
It was a challenging and interesting project for the MRC team on the ground; the major constraint was the height of the civil building, meaning the design and installation of the HVAC system had to be strictly coordinated with site conditions; however, with proper planning and a flexible design approach, the team worked around it and the project has been completed and validated and the facility is already in operation. “It was a pleasure working with the Rafarm team on what was a technically challenging turnkey project. I wish the Rafarm team all the very best and I’m looking forward to seeing Rafarm continue to grow“ says , Matthew.
